The Tart Peach
The Tart Peach is a hand-poured, eco-conscious beauty brand in Columbus, Ohio. Jordan, the owner, started out making lipstick before adding balms and nail polish to her repertoire. I worked on these images with the stylist Whitney Moore. We were very inspired by Tart Peach’s cardboard packaging and the natural ingredients.
Whitney and I had a few different ideas we wanted to try out. We liked the juxtaposition of the monochromatic asphalt and cement with color pops; also the play of the natural ingredients with a more harsh urban environment. I wanted to test motion-blur with harsh flash lighting on still objects. And then, we really wanted to smear lipstick around and mix it with dirt and flowers. Highly recommend. A very satisfying experience.
